Summer Show - Outstanding Success!

A Voyage to Change the World our summer show
inspired by Charles Darwin was performed by a company of 30 extraordinary young, energetic and highly-skilled actors and dancers.

It has been a great success with over 2000 people experiencing it outside (not in the rain!) in Plymouth’s City Centre Piazza and at the Barbican Theatre where it also sold out.

Audiences yet again have been surprised by the high quality and the imaginative content and style of the shows.

Kate Sparshatt, creative producer for Gecko Theatre said
“I have never seen a piece of theatre like this ever before, it is amazing, totally amazing. I will tell all my friends to come and see it. I was knocked out by the visual spectacle, the use of imagery and the extraordinary use of nonsense language and physical theatre.”

You can read Kate Campbell’s account of what it was like to work behind the scenes on the show in our new volunteers newsletter.
