What a fabulous month July has been with One Small Step…One Giant Leap receiving superb reviews!
Now we can look forward to another fantastic month with great shows including Youth Music Theatre: UK with Peter Pan and Endangered and the exciting Nemo-Jones performing nu-folk and rural soul in the B-Bar.

This month also sees the return of Comedy Night to B-Bar, which will be a great evening with Matt Blaize

Animals are everywhere: we observe them, play with them, experiment on and even worship them. New species are being discovered all the time, but many are now seriously endangered.
Does it really matter if these animals disappear from the face of the planet? This fascinating new musical examines the relationship between humans and creatures and the effect and the future of endangered species on this planet.
A new musical by the acclaimed international artists Peta Lily and Jonathan Cooper.

If you are interested in the Roots classes or would like more information, please come along to one of our Open Days in September. This is your chance to meet the practitioners and have a taste of what is on offer!

Friday 19th September: 6 - 8pm

Saturday 20th September: 2 - 4pm

Whether you are a beginner, at an intermediate level, or have advanced skills and experience, there is a programme for you, facilitated by the Barbican's professional artists, all specialists in their field.

Booking in advance is essential due to high demand for places, phone the box office to check availability and to book on (01752) 267131. *Bursaries are available in some cases for young people under 25.

Collective Voices

Collective Voices have been invited to the summer festival at the Drum, organised by The Creative Learning Department at the Theatre Royal. Over two days the group has devised a theatre performance based on the pressures faced by young women to look and act perfectly in today's society.

Luke Thone's thought provoking film 'Discrimination Prohibited' will also be screened.

The show is 7pm on Wednesday 6th August, tickets are free but booking is advised at the Theatre Royal box office on 01752 267222.
