About An Evening With Krampus

Our adults only festive cabaret style show An Evening With Krampus is coming to Barbican Theatre’s intimate stage from 11 – 22 December, it is perfect for those looking for an alternative to the traditional Christmas show, fusing live music, song, storytelling and comedy for ages 16 and over.

So who or what is Krampus? In Central European folklore, Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure described as “half-goat, half-demon. Krampus punishes children who have misbehaved, in contrast with Saint Nicholas, who rewards the well-behaved with gifts.

Our Krampus appears in feminine form, and is ready to reclaim Christmas from Santa. She wants her audience to let go of their responsibilities, forget about the children and leave behind the stresses of work and home. She will tease, tantalise and tempt you to join her and indulge in a more adult, pleasurable Christmas.

Audiences can make a night of it by joining us in the intimate and relaxed The B-Bar beforehand (or afterwards if coming to the matinee) for the best Thai food in town and a great selection of drinks, including an extensive cocktail list! Check out their menu: http://www.b-bar.co.uk/p/menu.html?m=1
