“The reason I became a trustee of the Theatre was that ‘The Barbican Theatre is a unique organisation which tries to bring both participation and involvement in dance, art and culture to a much wider audience than formal theatre. It offers a chance for fresh and often young talent and in my view provides an essential opportunity for innovative work which would otherwise not been seen. The work produced by the theatre itself is always of the highest quality and always thought provoking .By being a trustee I am able to learn a huge amount about art and dance which I would have never have experienced otherwise. I think the Barbican theatre is an essential part of Plymouth’s cultural scene”.
