Tuesdays 6pm – 9pm (term time)
COMPANY b Dance is for those who wish to develop their contemporary dance skills to a higher level. It is particularly suitable for those considering professional training or developing their own work. Sessions consist of training and development in a variety of contemporary dance techniques, choreography and improvisation. This is coupled with creatively exploring interesting topics that will culminate in powerful performances.
In recent years COMPANY have used dance not only to celebrate unity but also to creatively delve into subject matters that the company have wanted to make positive change in, such as the negative impacts of the media, plastic pollution, corruption, greed and chaos and living in a world that is becoming increasingly obsessed with technology.
In the 2018-19 academic year we will be working towards creating thought-provoking, innovative, unconventional, unique work in response to subject matters such as mental health as well as exploring our senses and the idea of connection.
We are looking for open-minded, committed, driven, passionate, creative individuals to audition for our company and we look forward to welcoming you and giving you the chance to challenge yourself and feel supported and guided throughout your journey. Ideal for young people studying GSCE, A Level or Higher Education Dance. Many of the young people we work with go on to train at some of the best Dance Schools and Universities in the country.
