Mondays 5:15pm – 6:45pm (term time)
Each week we will practice, learn and develop our dance technique and learn new skills. Dance Junction is perfectly catered to those new to dance or those looking for an introduction into contemporary dance. This class also gives participants a chance to explore their individual creativity and to learn how to use these skills whilst applying them to a particular theme and idea with the rest of the group, with performance opportunities throughout the year.
In the past we have explored themes of ‘Past and Present’, ‘Another World is Possible’ and gender equality. In the 2018-19 academic year Dance Junction aims to explore the idea of cross disciplinary work, adding things such as poetry, art and projection to our dancing. This will be based around the theme of how the body works and our natural movements.
We welcome participants who would love to give contemporary dance a try, those who already have previous dance experience and also those who would love to explore their creativity through dance.
