Barbican Theatre and The B-Bar are based on Castle Street in Plymouth histric Barbican. The Plymouth Athenaeum is on Derry’s Cross in Plymouth City Centre behind the Travelodge. Food and drink

At Barbican Theatre

The B-Bar is an excellent place to meet friends and family when seeing a show at the Barbican Theatre.

We serve freshly prepared authentic Thai food from 12pm until 9pm each day using locally-sourced ingredients and freshly caught fish. We have an extensive range of fairtrade and organic teas, coffees and alcoholic drinks for you to enjoy in our unique, relaxed atmosphere.

We offer bookings for pre-show diners and often have live music in the bar to enjoy afterwards.

The B-Bar is open seven days a week from 11 until late.

At The Plymouth Athenaeum

The B-Bar manage two bars at The Plymouth Athenaeum; one on the ground floor opposite the main entrance and another in the upper lounge on the first floor. The bar is fully licenced and serves a range of alcoholic and soft drinks plus teas and coffees, as well as bar snacks such as crisps, nuts and sweets and cakes. There are a number of restaurants in the Derry’s Cross area including Lorenzos which is right next to the theatre.

There is lift access to all floors, however access to the theatre is via steps and a cobbled hill. There is no adjacent parking, but there is a drop off point.
