This autumn, Barbican Theatre Plymouth is excited to relaunch its refreshed programme of creative classes for young people aged 8+.

This is the time of year, when we’ve collected all our data and stories, we take a look back on the difference we have made in the previous year. We’re proud to share some of the incredible moments and milestones that shaped the year (2024-25). From packed-out shows and national touring to grassroots community work and new creative beginnings, the year was one where energy, ambition and connection have reset the rhythm of Barbican Theatre.

This week, we are beyond proud to celebrate some of our incredible Rebels who have released self-produced singles! Seeing our artists create, produce, and share their own music is truly inspiring, and we couldn’t be more excited to shine a spotlight on their work.

Over the last few months, our Rebel Musicians have been working to create an anthem of hope and awareness for the NSPCC’s Together for Childhood project. This project works with local communities in Plymouth to make them safer for children; with a particular focus on preventing child abuse in families facing difficult situations such as domestic abuse, drug or alcohol misuse and mental health problems, as well as preventing child sexual abuse.
